Well finally I have one of my own. And it's a quite wondrous one as well. The family I got it from has had it for 25+ years. Wow! And they got it from someone who had been keeping it going for a while before that. Wow! I'm quite excited for this. I helped a friend start one of her own, and it was a very fun project. Kind of glad I forgot to pinch off a bit for myself though.
So far I've only made waffles with the starter, but holy jeebus were they good. I really can't wait to start making some loaves and pizza crusts and all sorts of other goodies.
Send me recipes. I'll treasure them forever!!!
